Dodo Farms is a certified Naturally Grown Produce Farm in Brookeville, Montgomery County in Maryland. We grow a wide variety of seasonal vegetables such as spinach, kale, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, beets, tomato, peppers, arugula, raspberry, blackberry, collard greens, cabbage, lettuce and so much more. We are committed to supplying members of our community fairly priced, fresh and naturally grown produce, free of GMO seeds, pesticides, chemicals and fertilizers that are planted and harvested in Dodo Farms in Brookeville Maryland.

It all started when…

Niyi relocated to the United States of America to join his wife, Tope, an accountant and an agribusiness lecturer and advisor at the University of Maryland. Niyi had been farming on 100 hectares of land in the Southwestern region of Nigeria for 12 years prior to moving to the U.S., and although it seemed impossible, all he wanted to do in his new home was start a farm.

His American Dream of farming began with an internship at Third Way Farms in Havre De Grace Maryland, where he served for 7 months. Then magic happened! Niyi was matched with an amazing couple in Brookeville MD through the Montgomery Countryside Alliance’s landlink program. And Dodo Farms was born…

Our mission is simple - we are committed to helping you live well by eating well. Therefore, our Certified Naturally Grown produce, pasture raised chickens, turkeys and eggs are free of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers and other harmful substances. When you join our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) or buy from us at farmers markets, you can be sure that our delicious and nutritious produce were carefully grown and raised with your welfare in mind.

Stories include "bread & beauty," a cookbook that was inspired by the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve; Dodo Farms, an organic farm in Brookeville; and the Seneca Schoolhouse Museum in Poolesville.
